SMILE JOURNEY KENYA

Step into an experience where teaching and learning happen together.

The Smile Journey Kenya program blends hands-on outreach with mentorship, helping volunteers build leadership, critical thinking, and cross-cultural communication skills. Volunteers don't just give - they also learn from local communities, which leads to shared growth and lasting change.

The Smile Journey packs in a whole lot of fun activities and unique adventures, including a safari or two!

Our 2025 journey was made possible through teamwork, compassion, and strong partnerships. We worked alongside The Olmalaika Trust, Days for Girls Kenya – Olmalaika Enterprise, World Health Dental Organization, Community Wildlife & Conservation, and several dedicated community partners.

With the generous help of donors and volunteers, we made a lasting difference for hundreds of children, teens, mothers, and healthcare providers in rural Kenya.

This year’s contributions made a huge impact. Together, we raised and invested over $3,000 in educational materials, supplies, and program support - along with in-kind donations that strengthened communities and brightened many lives.

At Latika Primary, we introduced dental education, donated a dental health resource kit, and helped launch their new daily toothbrush program. We also delivered 30 educational oral health books to 3 school libraries to enhance health literacy.

To support local programs, health workers at Maktau Dispensary and Olmalaika Trust received oral health training, educational visual aids and supplies.

Our menstrual health outreach made a meaningful difference, with 160 washable, reusable menstrual kits delivered to girls in rural schools along with education and support.

Both the World Health Dental Organization and the Olmalaika Trust each received cash donations to support their outreach workers and local initiatives.

We also brought soccer balls and uniforms, skipping ropes, infant and toddler clothing, scrubs, yoga mats, and a large backpack to support ongoing outreach.

The Smile Journey is more than just an outreach program. It’s a life-changing experience for everyone involved. We believe that giving to others brings even greater rewards.

Together, we are spreading smiles one journey at a time.
