MANDY MCGILL

FOUNDER, PRESIDENT & CEO

Meet Mandy McGill - the founder of World Health Outreach and a passionate public health leader, advocate, and voice for global oral health.

Her outreach journey began on the front lines of dental public health in Canada, working side by side with local organizations and primary healthcare centres. Through this work, she has seen firsthand how prevention and education can change lives - not through one-time fixes, but by building sustainable systems that last.

Recognizing the global shortage of health professionals and the barriers many communities face in accessing care and education, Mandy was motivated to create health programs and initiatives rooted in local needs in underserved regions of Africa.

For Mandy, the goal has always been to empower others — by building local capacity, mentoring health workers, and developing practical tools that continue to benefit communities long into the future.

What started as one person’s dream became a shared mission, as she joined forces with nonprofits and community members to create community initiatives that truly last.

With a heart for service, Mandy founded World Health Outreach to fill gaps in community-based initiatives and champion prevention and well-being both locally and globally. She feels privileged to collaborate with dedicated partners, health professionals, and volunteers who share the same dream.

  • JULIE FLYNN

    Julie Flynn was born and raised in the North East of England. After a brief visit to Canada, she immigrated and made Vancouver her home.  She soon developed a love for the outdoors, especially trail running in the mountains. Finding how much joy and strength came from staying active, she became a certified personal trainer and running coach to help others achieve their fitness goals. Through her outdoor experiences, she created two children's books which educate children on how to be safe in the backcountry and environmental conservation. Julie is proud to be part of World Health Outreach, helping inspire health and connection in communities near and far.

    Nikki has been a dental hygienist since 2011 and has devoted much of her career to caring for underserved communities in rural British Columbia, as well as abroad in developing regions. With a genuine passion for helping others, she is committed to sharing her knowledge of oral health and empowering people to improve their well-being. A true humanitarian, Nikki strives to make a lasting difference both locally and globally.

  • PATRICK MOSES

    MALAWI

    Patrick is a fifth year dental surgery student from Malawi. With a passion for improving oral health in his community, Patrick has been actively involved in offering oral health education to primary school kids and rural communities across Malawi. Through his outreach efforts, he aims to bridge the gap in dental care access and promote preventive dentistry practices. He envisions a future where everyone has better access to oral health services and education, and he is committed to contributing to this vision through his work.

  • JANE SESIA

    KENYA

    Jane is a Dental Technologist working with the county government of Kajiado, Kenya. She is the Director of Maasai Oral Health Organization. and is passionate about educating her community on oral health issues. Jane visits schools and health clinics, providing valuable oral health education and supplies. She also advocates for children born with cleft lift and palate. and parters with hospitals in Nairobi to assist children in receiving corrective surgeries.
