Clothing Drive

A Cross-Continental Clothing Drive

Providing clean, comfortable clothing may seem simple, but it plays a powerful role in a child’s physical and emotional well-being. This initiative highlights communities supporting communities, mothers lifting mothers, and care that crosses borders.

Our team at World Health Outreach reached out to the Olmalaika Trust in Kenya to offer support. Working alongside District Children’s Offices, Olmalaika Trust provides a nursery where abandoned infants receive compassionate, round-the-clock care and a warm, nurturing environment that gives them a safe, loving start to life.

They shared a critical need for abandoned infants arriving at their nursery with no clothing or essentials.

We also saw many mothers struggling to provide for their children and needing support.

To help both groups, our board member Nikki put a call-out on social media for infant and toddler clothes. The response was immediate and heartfelt, with generous donations of clothing, blankets, and other essentials.

Our team organized local pickups and drop-offs, then sorted, washed, folded, and packed each item with care. Vacuum-sealed bags were carried to Kenya in luggage, totaling over 300 pounds.

When we reached Kenya, we delivered the donations straight to mothers in need and to the nursery at Olmalaika Trust.

This drive turned into more than just giving clothes. It became a shared act of kindness, showing that global health starts with meeting basic needs and that when one community asks for help, another can answer.

This is the third time we’ve been able to deliver clothing to Olmalaika Trust, and we’re excited to share that we will be transporting even more donations in 2026. The generosity keeps growing, and so does our commitment to supporting mothers and children across continents.
